Dr Funké Baffour, B.Sc. (Hons.), Dip., D.Clin.Psy, C.Psychol.

Dr Baffour a Chartered Clinical Psychologist is the Managing Director of Ace Psychology Ltd.  She undertakes work in all the service areas and manages the strategic direction of the company.  Dr Baffour also holds positions as of Head of Psychology for St Luke’s Hospital Group and is one of the Board of Directors for BUBIC; a substance misuse service for people in the community.

Dr Baffour graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Middlesex University. Soon after graduating she was employed as a Visiting Lecturer at Metropolitan University (formerly known as the University of North London), and began reading for her PhD.   Her keen research interests, at the time, were eating disorders and substance misuse. However, after some time Dr Baffour felt that her career needed to take a different path; as her research PhD did not give her type of clinical contact that she desired.

Dr Baffour’s change of heart led to a career in Clinical Psychology. This enabled her to work with clients therapeutically; as well as keeping her research interests alive. She graduated from the University of East London with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Before becoming the MD for Ace Psychology she worked in the NHS as a clinical psychologist with clients with a range mental health problems.

Throughout Dr Baffour’s career she has always had great passion for working with individuals, couples and families in helping them lead more positive lives; by helping people understand themselves better, so that they can make the necessary changes.
Dr Baffour has delivered a number of training sessions on the following issues; Eating Disorders, Child Sexual Abuse, Learning Disabilities, Psychosis, Substance Misuse, Personality Disorders, Stress Management and Confidence Building.
