Individual therapy

In individual therapy the client meets on a ‘one-one’ basis with the psychologist. For the first session this may be between 60-75 minutes and subsequent sessions are for fifty minutes. Such a working relationship may last for a few sessions or may even continue for much longer, this depends entirely on the needs of the client. No matter how many sessions are needed, we at Ace Psychology will always work with you to meet the goals that have been agreed between you and your psychologist.

Individual therapy is a time where you focus on yourself, both on your strengths as well as your weaknesses. Through the assessment stage we will gather as much information as possible, so that we can arrive at an individualised treatment plan.

Talking to a psychologist can initially feel quite daunting, this is normal, as we all feel awkward meeting new people for the first time. We are here to provide you with the therapeutic space where you are not judged because of your problems; rather you are praised because of your courage for taking a significant step in changing your life in a more positive way.
